Robert M. Rush, 76, retired farmer, died at the home of his son Charles Rush of Washington township. He has resided in this vicinity the past 50 years. He was married to Rosetta Phillips in 1888. There are two sons surviving, Charles Rush and W.A. "Lon" Walton. Mrs. Rush died in 1936 and another son George passed away in 1919. Other survivors include three brothers, James of LaPorte, Alfred of Fairland, and Percivel of Louisiana; three sisters, Mrs.Carrie Norville, Houston, Texas; Mrs. Ella Means, Dupont; Mrs. Myrtle Taylor, Ohio, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The body was taken to the Wolf funeral home in Walton, where it will remain until time of the funeral, which will be held int the Walton Christian church Monday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. Rev. James G. Saylors wil officiate with burial in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Rush was vorn in Shelby county, Feb. 6, 1864 and was an elder in the Christian church at Walton.
