EVE RENEE' WHITELAW Gary, Indiana Born September 8, 1951, made her transition on November 11, 2006. She was born at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Gary, Indiana, to proud parents, David and Jewel Suttlar. Eve was a 1969 graduate of Roosevelt High School and attended Indiana State University where she met and married Quentin Whitelaw. To this union a wonderful, bright baby girl was born, Chantelle Lenee'. Eve confessed hope in Christ at an early age. She was a lifelong and devoted member of First A.M.E. Church until her health failed. She began her career as a secretary in the attendance office at Gary Roosevelt. She was later employed by the Gary Police Department where she served for 25 years, mostly recently as a detective in Auto Detail. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, David, Jr. Eve is survived by her daughter Chantelle; four siblings, Sharon (Wallace) Borom, Carolyn (Daun) Grogan, Monisha Pinkston, & Errol (Lisa) Suttlar. Visitation Friday, November 17, 2006, at the Guy & Allen Funeral Home, 2959 West 11th Avenue, from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m., family hour 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services Saturday, November 18, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at First A.M.E.
