Graveside Services for Floy M. Elliott will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Monday, July 11, 2016, at Alexandria Memorial Gardens with Rev. Chad Partain officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 10, 2016, in the Chapel of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.
Floy Elliott, 97, of Alexandria, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016 surrounded by family.
Floy is preceded in death by her parents, Carrie and Elmer Simmons; her husband, William D. Elliott; one sister and two brothers.
Floy was born on August 28, 1918, in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas, the first of six children. She was an elementary teacher for 28 years, retiring from the state of Illinois in 1979. After the retirement of Floy and her husband, the couple moved back to Arkansas until moving to Alexandria in 2000.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Carol Feldkamp (Larry) of Alexandria; two grand daughters, Caroline Willis (David) of Elizabeth, LA. and Katherine Cunningham (Tom) of Houston, TX.; one great-grandson and 3 great-granddaughters; along with 2 sisters.
