Robert was the youngest son of Henry Francis Baerg and Ruth Elizabeth Loven Baerg. With the passing of Ruth on Nov. 14 2006, All three are now resting together at the Abbey.

The following is a poem titled:
"Life"
Written By: Robert Allen Baerg

Life is the poem of love and laughter
We live it now and remember after,
Time passes so fast we wonder why
But in place of reason we alibi,
Freedom from loneliness and misery
Endless searching for gaiety.
Love's the answer for most
For others its only a host
Always planning for futures unknown
Never knowing what life will condone
But at last life must end
An end none can comprehend

The following was a poem included
in his memorial program at his funeral:

God hath not promised skies always blue,
Flower-strewn pathways
all our lives through;
God hath not promised sun without rain,
Joy without sorrow, peace without pain.
But God hath promised
strength for the day,
Rest for the labor, light for the way.
Grace for the trials,
Help from above,
Unfailing sympathy,
Undying love…
