DEATH OF ORRIN DE WOLF
He Had Lived in This County Since 1805 and in Stafford since 1814

Orrin DeWolf, one of Genesee county's pioneers and a man who was widely known and highly respected, died yesterday at his home in the town of Stafford in the 89th year of his age.

Mr. DeWolf was born in East Bloomfield, N. Y. on April 6, 1804. When he was a year old his parents came to Batavia to reside and in 1814 removed to Stafford. Since that time Mr. DeWolf had continued to reside in Stafford. He was a blacksmith by occupation and since 1830 had carried on that business, residing all the time in one place. He was Deputy Postmaster at Stafford at one time and served as a constable in 1835 and 1836. He was elected Justice of the Peace in 1852 and had held that office ever since, frequently being elected without opposition. He was married to Zobede Perkins, who survives him with eleven children of the fourteen who have been born to the couple.

The funeral will be held from his late residence on Friday at 1 o'clock p.M.
