Mary Turner, only surviving child of Ephraim Turner and Mary Nichols, bapt. Dec. 31, 1704 at the Hartford 1st Church. She d. Aug. 14, 1771 at Hartford, Æ 67 (g.s.).

On Dec. 24, 1724 at the Hartford 1st Church, Mary m. John Skinner, 3rd, s. of John Skinner, Jr. and Rachel Pratt, b. of record July 1, 1697 at Hartford (bapt. July 4, 1697, Hartford 1st Ch.). He d. testate Aug. 14, 1773 at Hartford, Æ 77 (g.s.) They had the following ten known children, nine of baptism record at the Hartford 1st Ch.:

• i. John Skinner, 4th, b. Mar. 29 (bp. Apr. 3), 1726, d. in Mar. 1794; m. 1) Nov. 21, 1748 (1st Ch.) Mary Whiting, dau. of Col. John Whiting and Jerusha Lord, b. Hartford Aug. 25 (bp. Aug. 31), 1729; m. 2) after June 1766 Hepzibah Seymour, dau. of Dea. Thomas Seymour, Jr. and Hepzibah Merrill, and widow of Nathaniel Ledyard. She d. Sept. 4, 1791 at Hartford.

• ii. Mary Skinner, b. Mar. 22 (bp. Mar. 24), 1727/8, m. Dec. 7, 1749 (1st Ch.) James Steele.

• iii. Deliverance Skinner, bp. Mar. 8, 1729/30; d. in infancy.

• iv. Deliverance Skinner, bp. Feb. 28, 1730/1, d. Mar. 13, 1799; m. Mar. 26, 1752 (1st Ch.) Jared Seymour, s. of Dea. Thomas Seymour, Jr. and Hepzibah Merrill, b. Jan. 13, 1730/1 at Hartford where he d. Apr. 27, 1781. Jared was the older brother of the 2nd wife of Deliverance's older brother John's 2nd wife.

• v. Richard Skinner, b. circa 1733 whose bp. does not appear of record due to an interlude betw. pastors of the 1st Church, but appears as the 2nd oldest listed son in his father's 1769 will; m. June 30, 1757 at Hartford (1st Ch.) Camelia Stanley, whose parentage has not been isolated. Five children bapt. in the extant Hartford 1st Ch. records, but may have been others.

• vi. Ephraim Skinner, bp. Aug. 1, 1736; d. in infancy.

• vii. Rachel Skinner, bp. Oct. 9, 1737, m. June 30, 1757 (Hartford 1st Ch.) Ashbel Steele.

• viii. Ephraim Skinner, bp. Feb. 24, 1739/40; no futher record found.

• ix. Elizabeth Skinner, bp. Aug. 22, 1742, m. Oct. 9, 1765 (Hartford 1st Ch.) Jasper Giddings (not Joseph Giddings as claimed by Barbour), the purported s. of Nathaniel Giddings by his purported 2nd wife Martha Corning, b. after Oct. 7, 1736. Elizabeth and Jasper's married is also recorded in the Windham. Conn. records. He d. Oct. 7, 1767 at Norwich, Conn. of consumption and was buried the following day, Æ 31 [Diary of Jabez Fitch, Jr. of Norwich]. One child, s. Levi, bapt. Feb. 7, 1768 (Hartford 1st Ch.), "the child of widow Elizabeth Giddings." Who Elizabeth subsequently m. or the fate of son Levi cannot be readily found.

• x. Nathaniel Skinner, bp. July 28, 1745, m. 1) an unidentified Rebecca by whom he had two children bapt. of record at the Hartford 1st Ch., m. 2) per Barbour to Margaret Hunt.
