Bonnie was the daughter of Roy and Nina (Mace) Brown. She married Ernest Fred Foster on 1 September 1934 in Sioux City, Iowa. They had two sons. After Ernest died, she married Orville Johnson.

She was a wonderful mother and was proud to be a homemaker. She lived in various cities in California, Arizona, and Missouri before returning to Sioux City.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; one son, Edward C. Foster; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis B. Foster; five brothers, Earl, Lester, Orville, Roy, and Kenneth; and one sister, Deloris Darline.

She is survived by one son, three sisters, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Deacon Patricia Roberts leading the prayers. Visitation was at the Meyers Brothers Morningside Chapel prior to the service.
