Ball, William "Bill" Campbell 84, of Mesa passed away at home on January 30, 2016. Bill was born in August 15, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Campbell P. and Mary E. (Bernsee) Ball. Bill married Shirley Jean Schultz on June 21, 1957. Bill served his country for 30 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley; two sons, Allyn Freeman Ball (07Mar1958-14Mar2016) and Robert Ball, one granddaughter and two grandsons. Bill was to become a great grandfather for the first time on February 2. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Campbell and Mary Ball. A funeral ceremony will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 12:30 pm at Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr., Mesa, AZ 85204. Visitation will be held from 10:30 am-12:30 pm. Private graveside services will be held at the City of Mesa Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses.
