Laura Myrtle Sherman was born on 26 Jan 1894 to Aaron Eugene Sherman and his first wife Laura D Larrabee. She was their 4th child. Her mother died a few months later in April. After her death Laura Myrtle was taken in and raised by her Aunt Edna Larrabee (Laura D's older and only sister) and her Uncle Lemuel Preston Richardson.
