Sam "Stix" Gibson, 61, died this morning at his home, 226 Cedar street. He was born at Brazito, June 15, 1888, and came to Jefferson City as a child. He was a member of the Christian Church here and the Hod Carriers union. He had been in poor health for several years and was seriously ill only the last six months.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha; four sons, Walter, John, James and Perry; and six daughters, Loris Dickerson, Vanuida Sinnett, Madeline Maples, Doris Hickman, Marjorie Gibson and Elnora Gibson.

He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Jennie Gibson of Kansas City; two brothers, John and Robert; and four sisters, Maude Gibson, Oleta Gordon, Audie Belshe and Ione Seeber.
