Alice T. (Collins) (Barry) Bernier, 99, of Bellingham, formerly of 270 Parker Street, Gardner where she resided prior to leaving Gardner in 1997, died suddenly Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Milford Regional Medical Center of Milford.

Life:
Born in Fall River on June 28, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ethel (Robinson) Collins.
Alice graduated from Middleboro High School of Middleboro with the Class of 1934.
She spent many years as a waitress for various local restaurants, and was previously the bookkeeper for her first husband’s business.
Alice was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Women’s Auxiliary, Aerie 747 of Gardner and was a member of the Senior Citizens Center of Bellingham.
Alice enjoyed doing word search puzzles, making fresh salads and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. She also generously donated to many various organizations.

Family:
Alice was predeceased by her first husband, F. David Barry who died in 1962, and by her second husband of 31 years, Wilfred R. Bernier who died in 1995.
She leaves two sons, David T. Barry and his wife Marilyn of Sarasota, FL and James R. Barry of Canton and his dear friend Anne Semler of Marshfield; one daughter, Frances E. Ames of Bellingham with whom she lived for many years;
ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by one brother, Albert Collins; and by two sisters, Mildred Sowersby and Mabel Steven.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 9th at 1:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.
Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Wednesday, September 9th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
