Tony Abeyta, of Longmont, beloved husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, brother and friend, passed away on May 29, 2016. He was 82.
Mr. Abeyta was born in Mead, Colorado on March 28, 1934 to Jose and Sara (Martinez) Abeyta. A native of Colorado, Tony retired from the City of Longmont. Tony was a longtime member of St. John's Catholic Church and was involved with the church choir for many years. His hobbies included fishing, playing the guitar and his music. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Della and five children. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two brothers. In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his sister.
Visitation will take place from 2pm-5pm, Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Howe Mortuary. A Rosary will follow at 6pm, also at the mortuary. A Memorial Mass will be held 10:30am, Thursday, June 9, 2016 at St. John's Catholic Church followed by inurnment at Mtn. View Cemetery.
