P. Ovila Audet, a native of St. Johns, P.Q., Canada, and resident of Cohoes the greater part of his life, died yesterday at his home, 20 Bevan Street, after a long illness. He was a loom fixer in Cohoes textile mills for several years before his retirement some time ago. He was a communicant of St. Marie’s Church.

Survivors include his widow, the former Eva Baillargeon; three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Slavin, Miss Agnes Audet, Mrs. Earl Normandin; one son, L. Marcel Audet, Cohoes; two sisters, Miss Parmelia Audet, Cohoes, Mrs. Alice Blyth, Bridgeport, Conn.; one brother, Alfred Audet of Schenectady, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Dufresne Funeral Home, 216 Columbia Street, and at 9:30 a.m. from St. Marie’s Church, where a solemn requiem mass will be sung. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.
