Gladys Loretta Schlegel, Past Worthy Matron and longtime member of the Berwyn Chapter 529 Order of the Eastern Star passed away Sept. 3, 2012 at the age of 95. Gladys was the beloved wife of the late John L. Schlegel, Sr. and loving mother of John L. Schlegel, Jr. and the late Calvin G. (the late Mary) Schlegel; proud grandmother of Michael, Keith and Adam; honored great-grandmother of McKenzie; dear sister of the late Howard Reichel and the late Mildred. Visitation at the Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York Rd., Elmhurst on Friday from 3 to 9 p.m. with Eastern Star Services at 7:30 p.m. and where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery.
