Chester T. Strain
FRANKFORT -- Chester T. Strain, 85, a retired farmer and local businessman, died at 1:15 p.m. Friday in Clinton County Hospital.
Born near Colfax, he resided at 555 S. O'Neal St., Frankfort. Mr. Strain traveled for Massey Harris Co. until 1947 when he bought Farmers Implement Co. and Shanklins Hardware here. He owned and operated these until his retirement in 1969.
In 1918 he was married to Desta Wood, who died in 1973.
Surviving are two sons, Curtis and Lemoine Strain, both of Frankfort.
