He practiced family medicine for many years in Kingsville and had served as the Physician for A & I University students. He was a member of the Kiwanas Club and was past president. He was a member of both the American and Texas Medical Associations. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Margaret of Rivers, two sons, William A. Ewert, Jr. of Rivers and another son of Austin; and one sister Mrs. Mary E. Williams of San Antonio.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at the Epiphany Episcopal Church with the Rev. Burton Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in Chamberlain Cemetery. Turcotte Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas
