Mr Grady R Rogers, retired farmer, husband of Mrs Lokie Wainwright Rogers, died at the State Hospital, Milledgeville, GA; Sunday. mr Rogers has been ill for several years. The deceased was born June 30, 1891 in Crawford County, GA. He had lived in Taylor County for the past sixty one years, and was a member of the Turner Chapel Baptist Church. He was the son of John A Roders and the late Leslie Spillers Rogers.
Funeral services were held at Sand Bethel Methodist Church, Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev W L Wade of Thomaston, officiating. Interment was in the church yard. Survivors include his wife, daughters, Mrs Mozell McCrary, of Thomaston; Mrs Reginal Ranow, of Panama City, FL; a son, Mr Julian Rogers, of Thomaston; sisters, Mrs Maude Rowell, of Warner Robbins; Mrs Lelia Mae Sanders, of Hampton, VA; a brother, Mr Claude Rogers, of Thomaston; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
