Ona Allen Turner, 92, of Mason House, 130 Washington Avenue, died March 20 1981 at Wishing Well Nursing Home, following a brief illness. Mrs. Turner was born at Sardis, March 13, 1887, a daughter of the last John B and Rose Griffin Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Turner in 1955. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Hamrick, MD; Mrs Edward (Peggy) Cain, OH; Mrs Jessie Brockway, also at the Mason House; Mrs Robert (Betty) Clubb, OH; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren, and one half-sister, Mrs. Lora "Peg" Carr of Port Jarvis, NY.She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothea Turner; two brother and two sisters. Mrs. Turner was a member of the Clarksburg Baptist Church and the Berean Bible Class of the Church. She was one of the original tenants of the Mason House, becoming a resident eleven years ago. Friends may ball at the Davis Funeral Home, Clarksburg Chapel, 443 W Pike Street, after 7:00 pm Saturday where funeral services will be held Monday, March 23rd at 1:00 PM. The Reverand David L Carrico, Pastor of the Clarksburg Baptist Church will officiate. Interment in Bridgeport Cemetery. Davis Funeral Home.
