TUESDAY, 10 DECEMBER 1918
Death of Mrs. W. M. Blitch
The host of friends of that pioneer citizen, W. M. Blitch, will be deeply pained to learn of the death of his life-long companion. Mrs. Blitch was stricken with influenza and pneumonia followed, resulting in her death, which occurred at her home in Santa Fe Monday morning at 9 o'clock. The funeral will occur Wednesday at 9 a.m. and the burial will be in the family graveyard at New Hope.
Mrs. Blitch was the oldest daughter of Eli Futch, deceased. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Edward, at Santa Fe, and two daughters, Mrs. Johnson, at Hawthorn and Mrs. Roberts, at LaCrosse; also grandchildren, children of Mrs. Joseph Rivers, deceased, in Gainesville, and three brothers in this county, J. E. Futch, of Gainesville; J. S. Futch, of Alachua, and J. F. Futch of Haynesworth. She has a number of brothers and sisters resident outside the county.
