National Park, Aug. 5, Grlef and despondency over the deaths of three members of his family are believed to have caused the suicide of James F, Duer, 33, whose body was discovered today In the vacant National Park Hotel, Second and Columbia avenues. The body of Duer, a brother of the late Policeman Charles "Buck" Duer, of Westvllle, automobile accident victim, was discovered In a bedroom on the first floor of the hotel building by Patrick Tooner and William Shoulders, who live In the neighborhood.
They had not seen Duer since Isal Saturday and decided to Inveatlgate. This morning they went to -the building which Duer had been permitted to uae for sleeping quarters. Shoulders booaied Tooner to ths window of the bedroom where Duer slept. He saw the body on the floor and both men then forced open the front door. They summoned Coroner W, J.
