MAX REINKE

Maximillian (Max) Reinke, 70, of Mishicot, died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at Two
Rivers Municipal Hospital where he had been a patient a day. He had been ill
the past several weeks.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday St. Peter Evangelical Church,
Mishicot, the Rev. David Worgull officiating. Burial will be in Mishicot Public
Cemetery.
Mr. Reinke was born Oct. 20, 1889, at Munich, Germany, a son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. John Reinke. When he was a year old the family brought him to this country
settling at Two Rivers, where his father became the city's gardener and helped
to develop Lakeshore Park. He married the former Clara Zeddies at St. Peter
church, Mishicot, April 11, 1912, after which the couple settled on a farm in
the Town of Mishicot. The couple moved to Two Rivers after retiring from the farm
a number of years where he was employed at the F. Eggers Plywood & Veneer Co. He
retired four years ago and moved to Mishicot to reside with a son, Melvin. Mrs.
Reinke died at Mishicot two years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Louis Kornely and Mrs. Bernard Gorzlanzyk of
Mishicot; another son, Lester of Mishicot; four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Marek of
Chicago; Mrs. Mary Novak and Mrs. George Radey of Two Rivers and Mrs. Robert
Lamprey of Manitowoc; a brother, Paul of Kansas, 11 grandchildren and four great
grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Specht Funeral Home, Mishicot, after 2 p.m. Wednesday
until 11 a.m. Thursday when the casket will be taken to the church where the body
will lie in state until the time of service
