Barbara Jeanne Reeves passed away on January 30, 2016 at Revere Court of Portland.

Barbara was born October 5, 1930 in Mackay, Idaho to Jack Lynn and Beulah Burnett Reeves. Her uncle, Dr. Frank Richards Reeves, delivered her. Her only sister, Beverly, was born a year and a half later.

After graduating from the University of Idaho in 1953, she decided to continue her education and became a teacher. She thoroughly enjoyed teaching and her students, and taught for thirty-seven years in Portland. She won an award from the Portland School District for her teaching.

Skiing was a sport she always enjoyed. When younger, she often skied at Mount Bachelor in Bend. While in college, her ski team won a ski race. Her summers were spent at the family dude ranch, Robinson Bar Ranch. Beulah, Barbara's mother, was part owner and manager of the dude ranch for many years until it was sold.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Beverly; nephews, Greg (Carol) and Phil (Mavis); niece, Laurie (Doug); and their children and grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Beulah Reeves; niece, Gina Gandiaga; and brother-in-law, Henry Gandiaga.

The family wishes to thank the efficient and caring staff at Revere Court for the excellent care that was given to Barbara in her last days.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016 in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
