Donald J. Lundy, of Oceanside, CA, died May 31, 2012, at Tri-City Hospital in Vista, CA. Donald was born in Pryor, Oklahoma in 1945 and grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended Oklahoma State University, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Radio & TV in 1967. After serving in the US Air Force, he returned to work at KTUL-TV in Tulsa, OK and obtained his MBA from the University of Tulsa. His 40-year broadcasting career took him to six different TV stations across the country and ended with his retirement in 2010 from the position of General Manager of WRTV, Indianapolis. Retirement brought him and his wife, Rose Mary {Cundiff}, back to California in 2011. He loved every minute of his retirement, especially the time he spent with his much-loved grandchildren. Everyone who came in contact with Don would tell you that he was fair, patient, caring, funny and a take-charge type of guy. Always interested in the latest technology, he recently taught himself Photoshop, was deep into genealogy and had just finished a stint in transcribing the 1940 census. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rose Mary, his sons Matthew, David, Michael, daughter-in-law Christiana, grandchildren Hazel and Jack and sisters Denise Lundy and Janet-Fann Lundy. He will be greatly missed by all.
