Son of Ira & Hannah Ives. Husband of Elsa Anna "Elsie" Ives, aged 81 years 7 months & 20 days.

Ira P. Ives, aged 81 years, died at his home near Mt. Pleasant, Monday evening. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Stella Harrington of Central Square, and Mrs. Ida Foster Baldridge of San Franciso, who has been spending the winter here caring for her father; also three sons, Fred, Burt and Ira, all of Volney. His wife and children were all with him the day of his death, and all but two were still with him when he passed away.

The deceased was a life-long resident of Volney, was born and always resided on the farm where he died He would have been 82 years of age had he lived until May 24th.

Funeral services will be held at the family home Thursday, April 17th, at 2 p.m.
