"ALISON, SALLY, owns farm, has 30 acres tilled, 130 acres of woodlands, value of farm lands $1000, value of farm implements id $6, value of livestock is $250, value of farm products sold, consumed or on hand $300, had 2 horses, 1 mule, 3 mulch cows, 2 calves dropped, 1 cow sold, 1 cow slaughtered, 200 lbs of butter made, 21 swine, 50 barnyard poultry, 200 eggs gathered in 1879, 15 acres of Indian corn, making 100 bushels, 14 acres of oats making 400 bushels, 20 acres of cotton making 9 bales, 1 acre of sorgum, made 60 gallons of molasses in 1879, 1/4 acres of Irish potatoes making 20 bushels." Sarah Ann Allison applied for a pension for her husband's service in the Civil War on July 5, 1907, but the request was rejected because the proof of his service was unsatisfactory.
