John D. Elliott Jr., age 88, of Manitowoc, died Friday, July 15, 2016 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
John was born on May 24, 1928 in Manitowoc, son of the late John and Helen Elliott Sr. He was a 1946 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. John served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. On December 31, 1955 John was married to the former Evelyn M. Titera in Manitowoc. Evelyn preceded John in death on April 24, 2001. He retired from Manitowoc Shipbuilding in 1990. John loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by one son and his special friend: David Elliott and Samantha Bell, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Ann (Jim) Dufek, Manitowoc; two granddaughters: Ashley Lange, Manitowoc; Rhonda Elliott, Manitowoc; two great-granddaughters: Alecia and Alexandria; one sister and brother-in-law: Nancy (Robert) Doleysch, Jackson, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Helen Elliott Sr.; his wife: Evelyn Elliott; one infant brother; and one brother and sister-in-law: Vern (Jane) Elliott.
