"A. Wasaquam Rites Thursday - Andrew Wasaquam, 85, of Pellston was found dead of natural causes Sunday night at his home. His body will be at the Stone Funeral Home until Wednesday when it will be taken to Greensky Hill Methodist Church for services Thursday at 10 a.m. Rev. Elmer J. Faust will officiate and burial will be in the Greensky Hill Cemetery. He was born April 30, 1884, in Hayes Twp. He married Mary Boda in Hayes Twp. in 1912 and they moved to Petoskey in 1930 where he was employed by the City of Petoskey. In 1936 they moved to Pellston where he worked as a carpenter. Mrs. Wasaquam died in 1965. He was a member of the Greensky Hill Methodist Church. Surviviors include four daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) E. Pierce, of Livonia, Mrs. James (Celia) Bender, of Dearborn, Mrs. Clarence (Irene) Miller, of Madison Heights, and Mrs. James (Esther) Donovan, of Detroit; one son, Andrew, of Livonia; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren." - Petoskey News-Review, 28 July 1969.
