David Patrick Chavez, 54, passed away July 16, 2016.
He was born June 11, 1962, in Pueblo, Colo. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Ventura Chavez and Eva Mora; and godparents, Hope and Frank Chavez. Dav-id is survived by his mother, Patricia Chavez; father, David Chav-ez Jr.; siblings, Trina (Joe) Rios, Charles Chavez and Daniel Chavez; nieces and nephews, Tristan Rios, Jolee Rios, Patricia (Joe) Aguilar, Charles Anthony Chavez and Daniel Chavez Jr.; special friends, Rico Vigil and Ron Abeyta, who cared for David when he was sick; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. He graduated from Centennial High School in Pueblo. David was a veteran of the Army. He worked construction, including 10 years in North Carolina and along the East Coast, until he became disabled. He was a great fan of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. David was a great fisherman and enjoyed camping out. He was an avid reader. Memorial service, 10 a.m. Friday, Romero Chapel.
