TAYLORSVILLE - Marvin Perry Beasley age 76 of 4929 Taylorsville Hwy Stony Point died Thursday, December 23, 1999 at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville after an extended illness.
He was born in Bennettsville, SC on April 2, 1923 son of the late William Benjamin and Bertie Pickett Beasley. He was a retired Parts Manager for Bell and Howard Chevrolet in Statesville and was a member of Oakland Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served in World War II.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Moose Beasley, 2 brothers J.D. Beasley and Jack Beasley.
Survivors include one son Alan Beasley and his wife Pam of Stony Point. 3 brothers Elmer Bruce Beasley of Garner NC, Willie Hammer Beasley and John Beasley both of Charlotte. 2 sisters Joyce Adams and Shirley Adams both of Garner, NC. 2 grandsons Christopher and Casey Beasley both of Stony Point.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 PM at Stony Point United Methodist Church. Rev. Mark Clontz will officiate. Burial will follow in the Marvin United Methodist Church Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by VFW Post 10,000 of Hiddenite. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at Stony Point United Methodist Church and at other times at the residence.
