Char loved life and everyone loved her. In her sweet, gentle way she made everyone feel so important and loved. She had many enduring friendships. She was very active in her church callings. One of her joys was spending many hours doing family history research. She especially loved her family here. She was a huge champion of Grant, her children and grandchildren.
Char had a unique sense of color and design. This was greatly evident in her home, her style, and was reflected in her quilting, which was another joy in her life. For several years, she owned a fabric store where these creative qualities were evident. She loved fabric, jewelry, shoes and collected many treasures.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her brother, Charles Edward Attryde; and her sister, Pamela Salome Attryde Ferrari.
Charlene is survived by her husband, Grant; her children: Steven Grant Aitken, Diane Aitken Southwick (Todd), Wayne Edward Aitken (Linda Holt), Brian James Aitken (Andrea Evers); three grandchildren: Ryan, Nathan, Caitlyn; and one great-grandchild, Aiden; her stepmother, Elizabeth Byrd; and her siblings: Nancy Rae Seve, Edward Attryde, and Joseph Attryde.
