BROWN, GERTIE LEE PERKINS died 10 May 1988
Gertie Lee Brown, 49, passed away at her home in Winfield on Tuesday evening, May 10, 1988. She was the daughter of the late John and Pearl Strunk Perkins and was a member of the Winfield Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, James Russell Brown; one daughter, Rebecca Gail Sexton of Oneida; two sons: Johnny Dale Brown of Tucson, Ariz., and Royce Gene Brown of Winfield; her grandmother, Ethel Strunk of Winfield; two sisters: Bertha May Alderson of Indianapolis, Ind., and Betty Alene Anderson of Strunk, Ky.; three brothers: Dillard Perkins of Indianapolis, Ind., and Willard and Paul Perkins, both of Oneida; two grandchildren; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Artist and Stella Brown of Winfield. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, May 12, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Marcum and Rev. Carmel Stanley officiating. Special music was provided by the Gospel Echoes. Burial was in the New Light Cemetery in Winfield. Jones and Son Funeral Home of Oneida was in charge of the arrangements.
