DENNIS SCHLIES
Dennis C. Schlies, age 59, of 802 S. 35th St., Manitowoc, died on Thursday
evening, Feb. 5, 2009, at his residence.
He was born on April 10, 1949, in Green Bay, son of Alice (Oskey) Schlies and
the late Robert Schlies. Dennis was a graduate of Denmark High School, Class
of 1967.
On March 6, 1995, he married the former Sandra Witcpalek in Sebring, Fla.
Dennis was employed with Fisher Hamiltons of Two Rivers for 39 years.
He enjoyed camping at Devils River Campground, Maribel, and was an avid Packers
fan.

He was preceded in death by his father: Robert Schlies; his father-in-law:
Harold Witcpalek; and his step daughter: Sarah Koller.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at St. Francis
of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will
be the Rev. Dan Felton with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand,
Manitowoc, from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009. A prayer service will be held
at 5:30 p.m. led by Deacon Al Boeldt. Friends may also call Monday morning at St.
Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at
10:30 a.m.
A very special thank you to Dr. Yetter, his nurse, Mary, the entire staff of the
Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic and to Hospice for their loving care and support for
Dennis and his family during his courageous six year battle with cancer. Also,
a special thank you to Cathy Brouchoud for her many hours spent caring for Dennis.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Dennis's name.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the
family with funeral arrangements.
