THERESIA SCHMIT
Mrs. Theresa Schmidt (sic), 96, of Mishicot, one of the oldest residents in
the Mishicot area, died early Monday afternoon at Fair Hill Nursing Home,
Rosecrans, where she had been a patient three years.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Specht Funeral Home, Mishicot,
and at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot, the Rev. Anthony Betley
officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot.
Mrs. Schmidt, nee Theresa Ebert, was born Dec. 22, 1864, at Ellington, Outagamie
County, a daughter of the late Wenzel and Francisca Ebert. She was married
Nov. 18, 1892, to Dominic Schmidt at Greenville, Wis. He died at Mishicot in 1954.
After the marriage the couple operated a farm in Outagamie County, until 1920.
They later resided at Greenville and Pound, moving to Mishicot to live with a
daughter, Mrs. Martha Kempen, in 1949. She was a member of the Holy Cross Altar
Society.
Besides the daughter, she leaves three sons, Leo, of Sauk City, Wis., Herman of
Marinette and Otto of Oconto Falls, 15 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8 o’clock
this Tuesday evening.
