Jennie (McBreairty) Jackson, 79, beloved wife of the late Romeo Jackson Sr., died Aug. 13, 2000, at a Fort Kent hospital. She was born in Allagash, Feb. 26, 1921, the daughter of Frank and Lucinda (Walker) McBreairty.

She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church of Allagash. She was predeceased by her husband Romeo, on Dec. 16, 1999. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Danny (Marie) Cyr of Fort Fairfield, eight sons, Albert and Romeo Jr., both of St. Francis, Clayton, Ralph and Allen Jackson, all of Allagash, Elden of New Milford, Conn., Roger of Comwall, Conn., and Reginald of Fallsvillage, Conn.; one brother, Donald McBreairty of St. Francis; one sister, Leanna Hughes of Allagash; 16 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Allagash, 12 noon Tuesday until time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Catholic church, Allagash, with the Rev. Mike Doucette officiating. Committal services will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are being conducted by Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
