Adeline was born to Pasquale and Louise Gentile Pagani. She was a 1931 graduate of Madison High School. A lifelong resident. On 26 Oct 1935 she married Chester A. Hampton and together they operated their dairy farm and orchard on Fox Road for many years and were members of the Richland County Farm Bureau and Grange. Chester preceded her in death in 1976.
Adeline was a member of Mansfield Friendly House, Lexington Senior-Civic Center, Lexington Area Senior Citizens and a member of Resurrection Parish.
Adeline a strong believer in the value of an education. She encouraged and financially assisted her children and grandchildren all of whom graduated from The Ohio State University.
She is survived by her daughter Tuth Ann (Thomas) Muir of Greer, SC; her son Carl (Linda) Hampton of Gardner, Ks; gradnchildern, Jeff and Diane Muir of Roanike, Va., Sharon Muir of Marietta, Ga., Greg Muir of New Albany, Kevin and Elizabeth "Betsy" Hampton of Newark and Cheryl and Jeff Bohm of Sandy Springs, Ga; five great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; a sister Rose Stone of Mansfield; sisters-in-law Teresa Pagani and Sara Pagani both of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Caroline Restille; three brothers Valentine, Henry and John Pagani; a sister-in-law Helen Pagani; two brothers-in-law Charles "Gene" Stone and Carl "Penny" Restille, and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Lester and Jane Hampton.
