JAMES E. LISTER
James E. Lister died at his home on east Franklin Street, Saturday afternoon after a lingering illness. Mr. Lister was born in Carroll County, Indiana, in 1843, and except for the time spent at the battle front during the war had lived in this county during his entire life. He was a member of the Methodist Church. The funeral was held at the home on Franklin Street on Monday. The Reverend R.O. Kimberlin officiated assisted by the Boothroyd Post, Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.). He leaves a widow and three daughters: Mrs. Carrie Jones of Delphi; Mrs. Grace Hatfield of Walton; and Mrs. Myrtle Wilson of Glendale, California. Interment was made in the Pittsburg Cemetery.
