Bill was born the son of Benjamin F. and Cecil R. Bellamy Davidson, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Dayton since 1973. He was a veteran of the US Navy with service during WW II, a retired longshoreman for the ILA #73, and an endowed member of the Old River Masonic Lodge #1442. He was a member of the Old River Assembly God Church, the Royal Rangers, and the FCF as Talking Bear. Bill was also a former member of the Cloverleaf and Westlake Volunteer Fire Departments. He enjoyed painting, singing, camping, and hunting.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 63 years: Mary Terry Davidson, brothers: B. Franklin Davidson, Jr., Louis E. Davidson, Cecil I. Davidson and J. D. Davidson, sister: Marion Heydonburg, and grandson: Ray Pepper. He is survived by daughters: Donna Fabre and husband Danny of Dayton, Becky Bird and husband Eddie of Dayton, Sue Sartin and husband Andy of Dayton, and Miriam Pepper and husband Donald of Dayton, son: Douglas Davidson of Temple, grandchildren: Becki Green and husband Kenny, Scott Bird and wife Nicole, Jeremy Mason, Tanya Sowell and husband Kevin, Melissa Trevizo and husband Juan, Stephen Sartin, and Jennifer Shuman and husband Tyler, eight great-grandchildren with one on the way, brother: Eugene Davidson of Elgin; sister: Molly Hale of Austin and Grace Conner and husband Tommie of Elgin; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
