Mrs. Maria Colasanto, 66, of 43 Grant Street died yesterday at Rhode Island Hospital after a short illness. She was the widow of Joseph Colasanto.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, January 17, 1889, a daughter of the late Michael A. and Clelia Gelfoni, she had been a resident of Providence for 55 years.
Survivors are two sons, Joseph and Nicholas Colasanto and five daughters, Mrs. Raffealina Anzevino, Mrs. Clara DeConcilis, Mrs. Rose Pitrantonio, Mrs. Phyllis Antonelli and Mrs. Annette Horsman, all of Providence, and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Friday at 8:00 a.m. from the A. Tarro & Sons Funeral Home, 262 Knight Street, with a solemn requiem Mass in the Church of the Holy Ghost at 9:15. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
