DEATH: J. Bayard “Bay” Young, age 86, of Denver, passed away July 21, 2016.

BIRTH: March 10, 1930 to Thomas Raymond and Mary Claire Young in Denver.

EDUCATION: Attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School, Regis High School, 2 years at Regis College and graduated DU Law School in 1952. Graduate of Catholic Biblical School.

MILITARY: Served in the US Army.

MARRIAGE: Arline Schuster in 1953.

MEMBER: Honored by Catholic Lawyers Guild of Colorado in 1996 for outstanding lifetime contributions to religion, profession and country. For eleven years he ministered at Seton House with Mother Teresa's Sisters (Missionary Sisters of the Poor) supplying nourishment and dignity to the patients. Bay chaired the building drive for Most Precious Blood Church as well as served as an active member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Denver St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee.

PASTIMES: Fishing, reading, gardening, coaching and volunteering. Involved the entire family in the securing of the land and the building of their cabin outside of Fairplay.

AMONG SURVIVORS: Wife of 62 years Arline Anne Young, children Joseph Paul (Diane) Young, Bernadette Marie (Tim) Haggerty, Daniel Patrick (Robin) Young, Michael Matthew (Debbie) Young, Sheila Anne (Michael) Anderson, Marilyn Jean Cheever, Christopher John Young & Mary Katherine (James) Mark, twenty-two grandchildrenn, six great-grandchildren, sister Suzanne Bouloy.

PRECEDED IN DEATH parents, and siblings Thomas Young, Margaret Rodriguez, Patricia Connor, & John Young.
