Our beloved husband, boyfriend, sons, brothers, grandsons, nephews, and uncles were taken from us too soon. They passed away together in a tragic vehicle accident on July 25, 2016.

James Dale Gates-Smith, age 29, was born May 2, 1987. He loved camping, guns, gaming, and being with his family. He had a big heart and especially loved being an uncle.

James was protective, caring, and our giant teddy bear. He loved his dogs. His laughter could light up a room.

Daymon Earl Robert Smith, age 22, was born February 14, 1994. He was a goofball and comedian. He loved his wife and family.

Daymon enjoyed sports, sleeping, and movies. He loved get togethers with his siblings and cousins. He also delighted in being an uncle to his nieces. Daymon loved play-fighting with his wife, Bryanna.

James and Daymon are survived by parents, Robert and Shanie Smith; sister, Taisharay Smith; James' sweetheart, Jennifer Adams; Daymon's wife, Bryanna; nieces, Harmony and Maylie; grandparents, great-grandparents, and extended family. Preceded in death by cousin, Angie Webster; and great-grandfather, Fayne Olsen.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West), Taylorsville, with a viewing to be held at the mortuary from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2016.
