Dorothy A. (Foss) Aimaro, 80, of Bradford, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side, Thursday, March 10.
She was born in Haverhill on August 22, 1935 the daughter of the late Clifford and Ludivine (Gallant) Foss. She was a lifelong resident of Bradford and graduated from Haverhill High School in 1953. She was employed for over 25 years at the city clerk’s office in Haverhill. After her retirement, Dorothy would winter in Florida. She was an excellent cook and loved to feed her family and friends. She enjoyed swimming and throwing parties in her backyard pool in Bradford. She also loved to play scrabble and paint.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Donald Aimaro of Bradford, a son Frank Aimaro and his wife Jennifer Mullin of Los Angeles, CA, and a daughter, Beverly Aimaro Pheto of Washington DC, two brothers, Alson Foss of Haverhill and Robert Foss of West Newbury, two sisters, Donna Millington of Haverhill and Barbara Brunault of Hiram ME, 3 grandchildren, Amanda Pheto, Brent Pheto and Luke Aimaro as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Joan Mahoney.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours on Monday morning, March 14 from 9:30 AM till 11:00 AM at the H.L. Farmer and Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. (RT. 125) Bradford. Her funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 South Main St, Bradford, at 11:30 AM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
