Symfy was the seventh of ten children born to Jacob and Angelita (Maldonado) Alarid. Named after her maternal grandmother who assisted with her birth at home while her six siblings excitedly awaited her arrival. Survivors beside husband Ernie included: son Sean Mandez (Becky and Grandchildren Autumn and Audrey), daughter Geraldine Mandez (grandchildren Frankie, Emanuel, and Daniel), Christy and Ken Merritt (grandchildren Victor, Annastasiah, and Shane), Darlene and Sam Fenner (grandchildren Cody and Joseph), Lenna Deane (grandchildren David and Javi), her brothers and sisters Jacob Alarid, Paul Alarid, Juanita Tanguma (Mel), Pat Alarid, Orlando Alarid, Aaron Alarid (Wendy), Dominic Alarid (Lesley), and Andrea Lucero (Gerald). Her parents and brother Tom Alarid preceded. Symfy was a beloved friend to many and a passionate artist and gardener. Her love of God was truly inspirational. She loved to praise, honor, and worship God and spread the Good News to everyone she met. She changed many lives through Jesus’ name. Symfy’s last prayer request for everyone was to re-examine your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior and to accept His invitation for a new beginning and to live for Him. Memorial Service held August 2nd at The Worship Center, 14650 Chambers Road in Brighton. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled arrangements.
