(1928 - 2016)

Joyce R. Albrecht, age 87, a Two Rivers resident, died on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Joyce was born on October 24, 1928 in Vulcan, MI, daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Cologna) Cavagnetto. She was a graduate of Norway High School in Norway, MI, with the class of 1945. On December 31, 1946 she married Roger J. Albrecht in Fort Benning, GA. Joyce was active with the Band Mothers at Washington High School and had a strong belief in education. She did not have the opportunity to go to college, but strongly suggested her family should. Joyce was very proud of her Italian heritage. Joyce and Roger were charter members of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Joyce was strongly committed to her family and she will live on through her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband: Roger Albrecht, Two Rivers; their children: Nancy (Wayne) Mueller, Two Rivers, Gary L. (Tamara) Albrecht, Madison, Lisa (Gerald) Norz, DePere; seven grandchildren: Heidi (Andrew) Mehan, Bryant Mueller, Matthew Albrecht, Elyse (Jason) Jadczak, Annika (Daniel) Uden, Kelsey (Maxwell) Brock, Lindsay (Spencer) Ganz; two great grandchildren: Jackson Jadczak and Samara Uden; one sister: Rillie Hickey, Norway, MI; three brothers: Clem (Dorothy) Cavagnetto, Iron Mountain, MI, Glenn Cavagnetto, Vulcan, MI, Doug (Gloria) Cavagnetto, Plainview, MN; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Sandy Cavagnetto, Vulcan, MI, Charleen (John) Steinhauer, Green Bay, Judy Albrecht, Brookfield; special friends: Shirley Stockero and Patti Quistorf. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, here and in Italy, also survive. She was also preceded in death by one brother: Norbert Cavagnetto; three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Albert and Doris Albrecht Jr., Rev. Lyle Albrecht, Barbara Cavagnetto and Martin Hickey, Jr.; and two nephews: Dennis Cavagnetto and Philip Steinhauer.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Maurice Mmegbuadimma with burial to follow at Pioneers Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers.
