She is survived by her children, Helen Johnson, Evelyn Johnson, Ronnie Johnson, Hubert Johnson all of the home, James Johnson (Kay), Calvin Johnson (Peggy), Buford Johnson (Margaret), Foist Johnson (Brenda), Everett Johnson (Darlene) all of Chesnee; daughter in-law, Carolyn Johnson of Chesnee; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William H. Johnson; brother, Robert H. Johnson; sisters, Myrtle Scruggs Jolley and Bertha Scruggs; and by one grandson.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Eggers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Welch, Rev. Glenn Rusher and Rev. Preston Edmonds officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Altie Mae Scruggs Johnson, 99, of Chesnee went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2016. Born in Cherokee County, she was the widow of William L. “Bud” Johnson whom she was married to for 42 years and the daughter of the late Robert Eddie Scruggs and Eller Mae Jolley Scruggs. She was a loving homemaker and a member of New Pleasant Baptist Church and currently attended Southside Baptist Church.
