Spec. 4/c U.S. Army, {US52632056}, Vietnam War-Spec. Turchi died of his wounds when his Helicopter was shot down near the Bassac River on 10-14-1966 while serving as a Helicopter Repairer with the 118th AHC, 145th AVN Battalion, 12th Aviation Group, 1st Aviation Brigade.

Spec. Turchi is the beloved son of Mr. Paul J. Turchi & Mrs. Mary E. Turchi of 1140 South 6th Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and he enlisted with the Army in Philadelphia on 8-4-1965.

Awards: Silver Star Medal, Air Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Crew Wings, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal.
