HILDEGARDE A. BUECHNER

Hildegarde A. Buechner, age 92, of 2130 South 16th Street, Manitowoc, died Monday afternoon, January 16, 2012, at her residence.

Hildegarde was born on July 18, 1919, in the town of Newton, daughter of the late Albert and Lily (Korthauer) Weyer. She was a 1937 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On February 25, 1939, she was married to Elmer A. Buechner at Newton. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1978. Hildegarde worked for the Invincible Office Furniture Company retiring in 1984. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Grace Circle, and The Silver Memories. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, reading, playing cards and spending time with her family.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law: Roger (Sandra) Buechner, Manitowoc; Dale (Marge) Buechner, Redding, CA; David Buechner, Green Bay and his special friend, Wendy LaFave; one son-in-law: David Stock¸ Manitowoc; twelve grandchildren: eighteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Hildegarde was preceded in death by her parents: Albert and Lily Weyer; her husband: Elmer A. Buechner; one daughter: Rochelle Stock; two brothers: Frederick Weyer and Robert Weyer; two sisters: Martha Eichmann and Doris Gershman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2012, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2426 North Rapids Road, Manitowoc. The Rev. Thomas Pankow will officiate with entombment to follow at the Knollwood Mausoleum, 1500 Hwy 310, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold and Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is serving the Buechner family.
