(1921 - 1999)

Emil E. Cigler, age 77 of Mishicot, was called to his eternal rest Thursday, March 4, 1999, in Hospice at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 8, 1999, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot Rev. John Neuser will officiate with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum.

Emil was born on October 11, 1921, in Kellnersville, son of the late Emil F. and Frances (Schleca) Cigler. He married Dorothy Mae Strutz on January 22, 1944. Emil served in the Navy in World War II in the European Theatre. After the war, he sailed the Great Lakes for Reiss Coal Company, worked as telegrapher for the Southern Pacific Railroad and the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad. He was a past member of Railroad telegraphers and train dispatchers, past Grand Knight of Mishicot-Tisch Mills Council 4807 Knights of Columbus. At present he was a member of the Society of American Magicians, International Magicians Society, and member of S.A.M. Assembly of Milwaukee.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Dennis of Rome, Italy, Keith of Sturgeon Bay, and special friend, Margaret; one grandson, Benjamin of Stevens Point; one granddaughter, Amanda of Sturgeon Bay; one sister, Beatrice (Paul) Wachtel of Mishicot; two brothers, Paul of Florida, John (Dorothy) of Manitowoc; one brother-in-law, Allan (Marie) Strutz of Florida; one brother-in-law, Glenn Grumann of Arizona. He was preceded in death by one sister, Agnes Baumann; one brother, Jerry Jira.; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Cigler; one sister-in-law, Carol Grumann.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot on Monday, March 8, 1999, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

The Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot is assisting the family.
