Robert Hamilton Chase, 92, a former longtime Lyman area resident, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at the Lynden Manor Assisted Living in Lynden, Washington

Bob was born on July 13, 1914 in Sedro-Woolley, WA the son of Fay & Frances Hamilton Chase. He was raised and attended school in Sedro-Woolley.

After completing his education Bob worked in the C.C.C. Camps and also worked for Boeing. He was united in marriage to Dagmar Lindstrom in Seattle on April 3, 1937.

During WWII he served his county in the Merchant Marines and then after his discharge worked as a civilian employee for the U.S. Army Reserve, retiring in 1972 and at which time he and Dagmar moved to Lyman.

Bob enjoyed collecting stamps and tending to his garden.
He was also a member of the Lyman Baptist Church.
Dagmar preceded him in death in 1997 and Bob made his home in Lyman until 2003 when he moved to Lynden.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Philip; and two daughters: Elizabeth and Ruth.

Bob is survived by two sons: Ed (Peggy) Chase, of Everson, WA, and Robert Chase of Jamaica; two daughters: Jeannie Allen, of Pittsburg, PA, and Samantha Chase, of South America; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley, with Pastor Wayne ‘Hutch’ Hutchins of the Lyman Baptist Church officiating.

Interment will follow at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
