Bob was born May 20, 1944 to the late Gerald R and Twila Jean Browne. He was married to his high school sweetheart on June 18, 1966, Sharon “Louise” Hill Browne. They had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
He worked many years as a truck driver and in home delivery services. He enjoyed camping, family get-togethers, friends, and watching old westerns. Bob was a faithful member of Mason City Assembly of God Church.
In addition to his wife Louise, Bob is survived by a daughter, Angela Browne, of Taylorville, a son, Steven ( Heidi ) Browne, of Lincoln, and three grandsons, Konnor, Karter, and Kannon.
His family will miss his smile, humor, and strength of spirit, but know he is finally at peace in heaven. He left his family with the knowledge of Christ, lessons in love, hard work, and memories to last until they see him again.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 11:00 am at Mason City Assembly of God Church, officiated by Rev. James Sprinkel. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
Burial will follow in Greenview-Elmwood cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Mason City Assembly of God Church.
Hurley Funeral Home, Mason City is in charge of arrangements.
