Richard Eugene Abdella – age 83 of Mascot passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016. Member of Clear Springs Baptist Church. Richard loved the church and staying busy with work. He also loved his family and the time spent with them. Preceded in death by parents and first wife, Mary Abdella. Survived by loving wife, Edith Abdella; sons, Timothy (Dana) Abdella, Michael (Heather) Abdella; step-son, David M. Holden; daughters, Rita Marie Abdella, and Sandra Jane (Loyd) Dunn; step-daughter, Deborah J. Fay; grandchildren, Taylor, Astrid, Amber, Autumn, Chase, Timothy, and Trevor; great grandchildren, Linden, Logan, McKenna, Madison, and Aiden; and great great grandson, Lucas. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Monday, August 1, 2016, at Clear Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Hartsel McCurry and Dr. Neil Gant officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:45 AM on Tuesday at Old Chilhowee Cemetery for a 10:00 AM interment. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Monday at Clear Springs Baptist Church.
